Over packaged goods are rife in the supermarket business, but Fresh Choice Nelson City works hard to use biodegradable packaging where possible, and where we can we recycle. We also talk to our suppliers about reducing the packaging at their end, to help make a difference in the supply chain.

Meanwhile, we use sensor activated lights to conserve energy, and being in the Solar City of Nelson, we are also looking to introduce solar water heating, which we hope will make a significant impact on keeping our energy usage down.
